Verge flashing – a roof edge detail
Verge flashings are fitted along the gable edges of a roof. Materials and profiles are selected to suit the roof covering. Coated steel flashings are a common option, with protective finishes that help resist corrosion.
Verge flashings also give the roof a finished appearance. Selecting a suitable colour and shape helps coordinate the edge detail with the building’s design, including contemporary and minimalist architecture.
