THERMANO ETICS 180 mm – Advanced Insulation for High-Performance Façades

THERMANO ETICS 180 mm is designed for projects where external wall insulation plays a key role in achieving a high standard of building energy efficiency. The increased insulation thickness effectively reduces heat transfer through external walls and creates a highly efficient thermal barrier across the entire façade.

At the heart of the board is a high-performance PIR foam core, which provides excellent thermal insulation properties without the need for excessively complex insulation systems. This is particularly important in modern construction, where both energy performance and carefully designed façade details – such as window and door reveals, balconies and connections between walls and other structural elements – are essential.

A Smart Combination of PIR and EPS

The board also features an external EPS layer, providing a surface suitable for further façade finishing. The EPS can be sanded and processed, making it easier to level the surface and prepare it for the subsequent layers of an ETICS façade system.

THERMANO ETICS therefore combines the excellent thermal performance of PIR with the practical advantages of a material familiar from conventional façade insulation systems. The external layer allows the application of suitable reinforcing layers and thin-coat renders in accordance with the requirements of the selected ETICS system.
