Touch-up paint for metal roofing
This RAL 3009 touch-up paint comes in a 200 ml container with a brush. It is intended for local repairs to the painted finish on roofing sheets and flashings. Small scratches and scuffs can occur during transport, cutting, installation or subsequent use. Touching up those areas helps restore a consistent appearance and protect exposed spots. Typical applications include metal roof tiles, trapezoidal steel sheets, standing seam panels, flashings and fastener heads. Apply the paint only to the affected area, following the instructions for the paint and the roof coating.

- Small scratches left during cutting or installation.
- Scuffs caused during transport.
- Local corrections after fitting flashings.
- Touching up screw heads, rivets and minor coating damage.
Protecting the coating
Repairing damaged spots helps limit corrosion, further flaking of the coating and deterioration in the roof’s appearance. This matters around areas exposed to water and dirt, including valleys, eaves, flashings and chimney junctions.
How to apply a touch-up
- Clean the damaged area to remove dust, dirt and metal swarf.
- Degrease the surface before painting.
- Apply a thin coat locally, avoiding runs.
- If needed, apply a second thin coat after the first has dried.
Use only as much paint as necessary. A thick patch can be more noticeable than the original scratch.
