UNILIN PIR board 20 mm – thermal insulation
Rigid UNILIN PIR insulation boards provide thermal insulation for a range of building elements. The thin board format is useful where the space available for insulation is limited.
Applications depend on the specific board and insulation system. The boards help reduce heat loss and improve thermal comfort while limiting heating and cooling energy demand.
UNILIN Utherm Wall A – aluminium-faced PIR board
UNILIN Utherm Wall A has a rigid PIR (polyisocyanurate) foam core and gas-tight aluminium facings on both sides.
The stated declared thermal conductivity is:
λD = 0.022 W/(m·K)
The 20 mm board provides thermal insulation in a thin layer, which can be useful where installation space is restricted.
The stated thermal resistance of the 20 mm UNILIN Utherm Wall A PIR board is:
R = 0.90 m²K/W
UNILIN PIR boards can be used in suitable new-build and renovation insulation projects.
Aluminium-faced PIR boards are available in a wider range of thicknesses, from 20 to 250 mm, allowing the product to be selected for the project requirements.
Depending on the manufacturer and model, board formats include:
- 1200 × 2400 mm – large board,
- 1200 × 600 mm – small board.
Edge options include square, tongue-and-groove and rebated edges. The selected edge profile helps fit adjacent boards and limit thermal bridging at joints in the insulation layer.
