Rigid termPIR AL PIR Insulation Board 140 mm

The 140 mm termPIR AL rigid PIR insulation board is a highly versatile thermal insulation material suitable for a wide range of applications throughout a building – from the roof down to the foundations.

With a thermal resistance of R = 6.50 m²K/W and a very low thermal conductivity of λD = 0.022 W/(m·K), the 140 mm board provides excellent thermal insulation performance.

It can be used for insulating foundation walls, walls, ceilings, floors and roofs. In roof applications, PIR boards can be incorporated into different insulation systems, including above-rafter, between-rafter and below-rafter insulation, depending on the design and technical requirements of the building.

The rigid PIR core provides excellent dimensional stability and very low water absorption. The board is protected on both sides with a multilayer, gas-tight facing containing aluminium (AL), polyethylene and paper, which provides additional protection and supports the long-term performance of the insulation.

termPIR AL 140 mm combines excellent thermal performance, high rigidity and versatile applications, making it an effective solution for modern energy-efficient construction and renovation projects.

The rigid PIR foam core provides high strength and dimensional stability while maintaining a low weight. In practice, this makes the 140 mm PIR board easy to handle, transport and install.

A particularly important advantage is its very low thermal conductivity. Thanks to the use of polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam, termPIR AL achieves a thermal conductivity of λD = 0.022 W/(m·K), providing excellent thermal insulation performance.

The boards are available with three edge profile options:

  • straight edge
  • tongue and groove
  • rebated / stepped edge

The different edge profiles make it possible to select the most suitable board configuration for the requirements of a particular construction and insulation system.
